Awesome! So glad he was able to make it... Too bad I missed him. It was a busy night, but an incredibly successful one!

Thanks for organizing a bake sale at Winthrop. We're so pumped to have your support.

Hey!

Just wanted to say that my Dad came to the party but did not stay long...but from what he saw he really liked it.

On another note I put in a good word for you today. I e-mailed the environmental club here at Winthrop and asked if we could have a bake sale fundraiser for you. I'll let you know what happens! Take care!! -Cosima

A great time had by all for a great cause. I was glad to see and introduce Cyrus to Charleston's new Director of Sustainability, Brian Sheehan. With all our continued efforts, alone with our new logo, I believe WE can make a difference! Kudos to Cyrus and my fellow Charleston Waterkeeper members. Fight the fight!

Have you determined whether or not these abandoned boats are up for adoption? Is there a legal way to obtain clear title for them? Would love to hear back one way or other! :) Thanks...

That sure is a bummer! I wish people would be more cautious. I'm glad something is being done about it though.

It was a great time, and all the sessions were amazing. Truly terrific how such an even was put on in such an "open-source" manner. Oh, and nice shot of the back of my bald head by the way!

Sound great. I had been getting tweets about this for weeks. I thought it was an event for bar tenders. Hope everything goes well. I'm doing a lot of this sort of work for the Democratic Party and training people in this area as well.

Traditional media no longer has the capacity to make the community work. The concentrated revenue stream has disappeared.

We'll need a strong alternative media stream to make the Charelston area competitive.

I think the logo is good. The fish represents Chs. Waterkeeper's commitment to marine sustainability. The trident represents our defense of the sea, land, and air like that of the US Navy SEALs. Furthermore, in Greek myth, Poseidon used his trident to create water sources. Those same sources and the sea itself are what Charleston Waterkeeper pledges to protect. Kudos on a logo representative of our cause!

Please let us know as soon as you know the exact date of the party so we can include it on the CHARLIE Calendar (www.readcharlie.com/calendar). We'll close it out a few days before the end of October, so will need to know before then. Thanks, and congrats!
